Reminder: Energy Aggregation Information Session – December 17 Oakwood residents are invited to an Energy Aggregation Information Session on Wednesday, December 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Great Room at the Oakwood Community Center (105 Patterson Road). City staff will provide updates on the natural gas and electricity aggregation programs and answer any questions. Residents are encouraged to bring a recent gas or electric bill for reference. 2026 Dog License Information

2026 Dog licenses will be sold at the City Building from Monday, December 1, 2025, through Friday, January 30, 2026.

  • Base fee for a spayed/neutered dog: $20
  • Fee for an unaltered dog: $24

Exclusions to the $4 additional fee for unaltered dogs:

  • Dog is 9 months old or younger
  • Dog is too old or has a medical condition preventing spaying/neutering (veterinarian certification required)
  • Dog is used for breeding or show (breed registry number required)
  • Dog is used for hunting (owner’s hunting license number required)

Licenses requiring documentation must be purchased in person or by mail at the Montgomery County Auditor’s office or the Animal Resource Center. Multi-year and permanent licenses are also available through the Auditor’s office at 451 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45422. Visit the Montgomery County website for more information.
