SUMMER SEASONAL POSITIONS
OAKWOOD PARKS AND RECREATIONAL DEPARTMENT
The City of Oakwood is currently accepting applications for the summer seasonal positions for the Parks and Recreational Department. The seasonal positions have variable and flexible work hours which may pay up to $15.44 per hour. See the listing below for summer seasonal positions.
MAINTENANCE GROUNDSKEEPER:
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain landscape at City Boulevards, Smith Gardens which include but are not limited to mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding.
- Maintain natural areas and parks and perform all duties as assigned.
- Work hours are 40 hours a week during the summer season.
Minimum Requirement:
- Eighteen (18) years old.
Compensation: The current pay range is $12.35 – $15.44 per hour depending on experience and knowledge.
DAY CAMP COUNSELOR:
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and conduct summer camps and events.
- Should be able to work with kids between the age of 4 – 13 years old for different events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Eighteen (18) years old.
- Experience with elementary and/or secondary education preferred.
Compensation: The pay range is $ 12.35 – $14.41 per hour depending on experience and knowledge.
HIRING PROCESS:
The successful seasonal candidate will be required to complete a background check process.
