The city of Oakwood is collecting storm debris with two crews starting Monday, September 30.  Crew 1 is working from north to south on the west side of Far Hills.  Crew 2 is working from south to north on the east side of Far Hills.

Residential brush drop-off is available 24/7 at the Recycling and Yard Waste Drop-Off facility located at the front entrance to the J. David Foell Public Works Center, 210 Shafor Boulevard.

Doug Spitler was appointed Engineering and Public Works Director in January 2020.

Doug oversees 29 full time employees performing all Oakwood Public Works services to include refuse collection and disposal operations, public roadway and sidewalk maintenance, water and sanitary sewer service, and stormwater management. In the capacity as city engineer, he is responsible for providing professional engineering services in managing, operating and improving Oakwood’s public infrastructure. This includes developing the long-range capital improvement plans and implementing the annual capital improvement programs.
