PART-TIME GROUNDSKEEPER

LEISURE SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The City of Oakwood is currently accepting applications for the year-round, part-time position of Groundskeeper in the Leisure Services Department. The work schedule is approximately 29 hours/week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Leisure Services Department provides service-oriented functions for the City of Oakwood.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform functions of mowing, maintaining landscape, painting, pruning, trimming, and planting.
Maintain parks and natural areas.
Perform grounds maintenance around the City.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Able to lift up to 60 lbs.

COMPENSATION:

The current pay range is $15.28/hour to $17.46/hour, depending on experience and knowledge, plus other benefits including pro-rated sick leave, vacation and holidays, and enrollment in the pension program.
