PART-TIME OFFICE ASSISTANT- (EVENING & WEEKENDS)
LEISURE SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The City of Oakwood is currently accepting applications for the year-round, part-time position of Office Assistant (evening/weekends) for the Oakwood Community Center (OCC). The Leisure Services Department provides service-oriented functions for the City of Oakwood.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of clerical work which includes filing.
- Answer phone calls and provide information to the public and patrons.
- Greet the visitors and provide guidance to public inquiries.
- Perform the function of registering members for different classes and events.
- Maintain recreational software.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General experience in performing clerical and support work using office equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to work evening hours and alternate weekends.
Work Hours Required:
- Every Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Every other Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Every other weekend, Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- May be able to cover other shifts if needed.
COMPENSATION:
The current pay range is $14.16/hour to $18.91/hour, depending on experience and knowledge, plus other benefits including pro-rated sick leave, vacation and holidays, and enrollment in the pension program.
HIRING PROCESS:
The successful candidate will be required to complete a thorough background process, including a criminal check, physical exam, and drug screen.
