Receptionist/Clerk
The City of Oakwood is currently accepting applications for the full-time Receptionist/Clerk position of Receptionist/Clerk for the Municipal Administration Department. This position reports to the Planning and Zoning Manager and performs office assistant duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet and assist the general public and visitors.
• Answer and screen phone calls and provide information to the public and the City personnel.
• Performs all administrative and clerical duties including but not limited to planning and zoning files, permits, inspections and programs, ordering office supplies and recordkeeping.
• Process and issue birth and death certificates.
• Assist the Code Enforcement Officer with notices and communications.
• Prepare and distribute inspection reports and correspondence.
• Assist Finance and Tax departments and the City Manager’s Office as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training and/or experience in performing clerical and support work using office equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Notary Certification (maybe acquired after employment).
COMPENSATION:
The current pay range is $18.51/hour to $26.50/hour depending on experience and knowledge, plus other benefits including pro-rated sick leave, vacation and holidays, and enrollment in the pension program.
