SUMMER SEASONAL POSITIONS

OAKWOOD GARDNER POOL

The City of Oakwood is currently accepting applications for the summer seasonal positions for the Gardner Pool.  The seasonal positions at Gardner Pool have variable and flexible work hours which may pay up to $16.97 per hour. See the listing below for summer seasonal positions.

POOL MANAGER:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage pool operations including pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe swimming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the general public and the City employees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Eighteen (18) years old.
  • Lifeguard Certification.
  • Previous pool experience.

Compensation: The current pay is $16.97 per hour.

HEAD LIFEGUARD:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain lifeguards schedule.
  • Contact emergency medical personnel when a serious injury occurs.
  • Perform occasional pool cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Eighteen (18) years old.
  • Lifeguard Certification.
  • Previous pool experience.

Compensation: The pay range is $ 13.38 – $14.93 per hour depending on experience and knowledge.

LIFEGUARD:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sixteen (16) years old.
  • Lifeguard Certification or enrolled in a lifeguarding class.

Compensation: The pay range is $ 11.32 – $12.87 per hour depending on experience and knowledge. The City will pay for the Lifeguard certification if needed with conditions.

CONCESSION WORKERS AND FRONT DESK ATTENDANT:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sixteen (16) years old.
  • No previous experience is required.

Compensation: The pay range is $ 10.45 – $10.97 per hour depending on experience and knowledge.

SWIM TEAM COACH FOR DOLPHIN SWIM TEAM:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sixteen (16) years old.
  • Swim team participation and/or coaching experience are required.

Compensation: The pay rate depends on experience and knowledge.

HIRING PROCESS:

The successful seasonal candidate will be required to complete a background check process.
