Each year, all of the Oakwood Public Safety Department personnel complete an extensive training program. The training program involves numerous topics, and regularly includes courses on cultural diversity and implicit bias. The purpose of the program is to ensure that all personnel are fully prepared to properly and effectively perform the public safety duties to which they are assigned. At the February 3, 2020 public meeting, Chief Alan Hill briefed Oakwood City Council on the 2019 training program.
