When are City Council meetings?

Oakwood City Council meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m. at 30 Park Avenue in the City Building.  All meetings are open to the public and attendance is invited.

How do I contact the Mayor?

Email (duncan@oakwoodohio.gov) is the best way to reach Mayor William Duncan. The position of Mayor is not full-time and the Mayor does not have standard office hours.  You can also call the Clerk of Council at (937) 298-0600 Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Does the Mayor perform marriages?

The Mayor performs marriages for Oakwood residents. One member of the couple must be an Oakwood resident. Marriages can be scheduled through the Clerk of Council by calling (937) 298-0600  Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

When are City Council elections?

The Oakwood City Charter outlines the regulations for City Council elections and terms of office.  Each member of Council, including the Mayor, is elected for a four year term.
