How do I reserve the shelter at Shafor or Orchardly park?
Call the Oakwood Community Center at (937) 298-0775 to check the shelter’s availability. Completed forms and payment are required to reserve shelters; dates cannot be held and are non-refundable or transferable.
What is the date for Oakwood’s ‘That Day In May’ community celebration?
‘That Day In May’ is always the third Saturday in May.
Are the tennis courts at Orchardly Park and OCC/Shafor Park open to the public?
Yes. The tennis courts are on a first come first serve basis. The Oakwood High School Tennis team uses the courts at the Oakwood Community Center for matches and practices. The team schedules are always posted at the courts .
What are the hours at Gardner Pool?
Gardner Pool will operate from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. in accordance with guidelines and protocols developed based on directives from the Ohio Department of Health.
When does Gardner Pool open and close for the season?
Gardner Pool opens on the Saturday before Memorial Day and closes on Labor Day.

The Health Center at the Oakwood Community Center is open: Monday –Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sunday – 12 noon to 5 p.m. Please note that hours may vary on holidays.
