Francine’s Garden

Francine's Garden is a small unique treasure hidden in the hills of Centennial Park at Houk Stream and was named in honor and memory of Francine van der Hoeven in 2009.  This once hidden garden was created, restored and nurtured by Francine and her family when they lived on Park Road.  She had a life-long love of nature, flowers and landscaping and shared this peaceful space, now a wildflower garden, with those who loved gardening.  As a tribute to her wonderful life and outstanding accomplishments, family and friends made this gift to the city of Oakwood a lasting memorial.
