Lost & Found Pets

The Oakwood Public Safety Department makes every effort to return lost pets to their owners. We check each animal for pet licenses, identification tags, and microchips. We have a microchip scanner onsite to help get our furry friends back home.

Animals are placed in a kennel behind the City Building/Public Safety Building at 30 Park Avenue.  We provide the animal with water, food and bedding to help keep them comfortable until the owner is found.  After an extended amount of time, and the owner cannot be located, arrangements may be made to transport the animal to the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center.

If you have lost an animal in Oakwood, please do not hesitate to contact the Oakwood Public Safety Department at (937) 298-2122.
